Inspiration

It is challenging and time-consuming it to turn an idea into a product. I wanted to create an app that can help aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to build and test their minimum viable products (MVPs) faster and easier, by using the power of generative widgets in the PartyRock playground.

What it does

MVP Lab is an app that guides the user through the process of creating and validating their MVPs, from ideation to launch. The app has the following features:

  • Input Widget: allows the user to describe their startup idea for the generative widget to process.
  • Brainstorm Widget: helps the user to generate and evaluate different ideas for their MVP, including: the concept, business model, target customers, and unique value proposition.
  • Platform and Tools Widget: helps the user to choose the best platform and tools for their MVP, based on the outputs of the brainstorm and budget widgets.
  • Project Code Widget: helps the user to generate prototype code for their MVP, based on their chosen platform and tools. The widget also uses code generation to assist the user in writing their code.
  • Budget Widget: helps the user to estimate and manage the budget for their MVP, based on the Startup Idea and Brainstorm Widgets.
  • Team Structure Widget: helps the user organize the roles and responsibilities of team members.
  • Initial Designs Widget: helps the user with design inspiration for the prototype.
  • Idea Validation Widget: helps the user validate their MVP idea, based on the **Startup Idea* and Brainstorm Widgets, discussing its strengths, weaknesses and opportunies.
  • Lean Canvas Widget: helps the user to create a lean canvas for the startup idea, using the outputs from Brainstorm, Platforms and tools, Team structure, Idea validation, and budget widgets.

How we built it

I used the app generator to build MVP Lab by providing a description of functions or requirements for the app.

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating the different widgets in order to curate a user-friendly app experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Creating an app that can help aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to build and test their MVPs faster and easier, using generative widgets.

What we learned

  • How to use the PartyRock AWS hackathon platform and prompts to control generative widgets.
