Inspiration
No-code and low-code tools have made it faster than ever to launch MVPs. But despite the speed and power of these platforms, building a fully functional MVP still requires time, experience, and the right mindset.
I noticed a gap: while there are plenty of general-purpose job boards, none focus specifically on connecting startups with developers who specialize in rapid MVP development using tools like Make.com, Bolt, Bubble, Webflow, n8n, and others. That’s when the idea for MVP Dev Hub was born — a job board where MVPs meet their makers.
What it does
MVP Dev Hub is a niche job board designed to connect startups and early-stage projects with experienced no-code, low-code, and MVP developers. Founders can post projects, browse developer profiles, and hire the right talent to bring their ideas to life quickly and efficiently.
Currently, the platform includes:
- A job board tailored to MVP and no-code roles
- Developer listings with skills, project examples, and rates. They can regulate visibility to all or to logged in companies only, or to leave make their profile private to use later.
- Job filtering by industry, engagement type and location, search by keywords
- Featured and hot project tagging
- Free access for all users until September 1, 2025
How we built it
This was a personal experiment to see how far AI-powered development could go. I built the entire platform using Bolt, specifically requesting:
- Next.js for the frontend framework
- TypeScript for type-safe development
- Tailwind CSS for styling
- Supabase as the backend and database layer
- AWS for deployment and hosting (this part I did myself)
I allowed Bolt to take the lead on layout, content, and logic. Apart from a few manual fixes (mainly to handle AWS deployment), 90% of the project was generated and structured by AI.
Challenges we ran into
- AI Limitations: While Bolt did a great job generating the core design, structure and logic, I had to step in to prepare project for deployment and fine-tune some front-end components right in the Bolt editor. I also hit project size limit at some point, so had to pause with some of the features I wanted to add
- No existing playbook: Building a niche job board for MVP-focused developers required original research. I explored available tools and analyzed demand for no-code, low-code, and MVP development by reviewing existing job boards to understand what matters most when hiring these specialists. For layout and design inspiration, I looked at AI-focused job boards to guide the user experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Successfully launched a functional, live platform powered mostly by AI.
- Created a focused space for no-code and MVP developers to find meaningful work.
- Built the project using modern tools and best practices, with minimal hand-coding.
- Launched a fully working MVP to test market demand — practicing what the platform preaches.
What we learned
- AI tools like Bolt can meaningfully accelerate web development when paired with a clear vision and technical oversight.
- There is a growing ecosystem of developers and startups hungry for faster MVP development cycles.
- Even with no-code tools, understanding architecture, logic, and deployment still matters.
What's next for MVP Dev Hub
This is just the beginning. Here’s what’s coming next:
- Tools Directory: A curated collection of no-code and low-code tools, complete with filters and community reviews to help teams choose the right stack for their needs.
- Improved Matching: Smarter developer–project matching based on tools, industries, and project types.
- More AI Integration: Exploring ways to help non-technical founders generate project specs directly through the platform.
- Community Features: Reviews, Discussions and resource sharing for MVP builders.
For now, the platform is free to use until September 1, 2025, as we test and learn from real users. If you’re building — or want to help build — the next great MVP, MVP Dev Hub is here to connect you with the people who can make it real.
