MusiStats

Inspiration

We wanted to make Spotify listening history easier to explore than it is in Spotify itself.

What it does

MusiStats turns your listening history into stats, listening sessions, a calendar, taste comparisons, and a replay of how your music taste changes over time. You can import your Spotify data and ask questions about it with the listening assistant.

How we built it

We built the app with React, Express, and MongoDB. Spotify provides account access and listening data; imports are processed in the background so the app stays responsive.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered some limitations of the Spotify API, leading us to use the Last.fm API for one specific feature.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our tracker offers a wide range of stats and graphics all in one website. We are also proud of our integration of APIs and LLMs into the project.

What we learned

We learned about the process of integrating APIs and LLMs into our project, and we learned to properly use AI agents for producing code in a short timeframe.
