Musify

Inspiration

Apple music/spotify doesn't have some stuff I like listening to. I want a website where you can essentially have all the music you want in one place.

What it does

Allows users to listen to mp3s they upload

How we built it

React/Next JS, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion

Challenges we ran into

Functionality, as mainly the UI is aesthetic

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Nice-looking UI, mobile formatting

What we learned

It is quite difficult to recreate a music website/service

What's next for Musify

Adding functionality for playlists/liking songs, adding an actual database, dealing with mp3 files effectively (they are quite large, which is why there isn't any actual uploading implemented yet)
