Inspiration

Our inspiration came from a member in our group who really enjoyed gambling. He pitched to us how wonderful going to the casino would be but unfortunately due to the pandemic we cannot enter casinos like we use too without feeling safe. As a result we decided to create a gambling roulette game that would playable in the safety and full on experience all in your home.

What it does

Our project is trying to replicate how a roulette would work in an actual casino. The user would bet on a color and the randomizer would pick the color. If you appear to have the same color that means you win. If you do not end up receiving the same color that means you lost...better luck next time. The microcontroller also displays music in 8 bit which would play during the whole time the roulette is going.

How we built it

The way we built was we took a microcontroller and coded it with Arduino IDE. The microcontroller would be set to where it would flash LED lights and randomly stop on a color. We then began building the UI with visual studio code. This UI would allow the user to pick the color they want to be on and then give the outcome to the user.

Challenges we ran into

We came across a lot of errors in the user interface that we were not able to run the visual studio with Arduino.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud that we are able to first off create the game itself. We were also able to capture some of the Arduino codes data and transfer it over to C# in visual studio code.

What we learned

We learned how to make a roulette which was a real breakthrough. This was also the first hackathon for some of the members and they feel much more confident for their next hackathon.

What's next for Musical Bomblette

we will try to create more casino games virtually and try to build a successful casino all playable in your own home!
