Inspiration
We were inspired by people all over the world who are struggling and who find comfort in music. Music has the power to join people together showing us a great opportunity to blend cultures, music, and technology to create a united community.
What it does
In the website you are able to make donations to various charities, as well as listen to music from all around the world.
How we built it
We used HTML to structure our website pages, Tailwind CSS to style our UI, and JavaScript in order to help with the functionality with our website and make it more interactive.
Challenges we ran into
In the beginning, we planned some unrealistic goals as we didn't foresee the challenge of learning these new languages and technologies in a limited amount of time. We also struggled incorporating the Spotify API due to the authorization and other things.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the navigation bar where we were able to include our project name and links to go to other pages int he website. We were also proud of being able to work with new technical languages such as the JavaScript and Tailwind CSS we incorporated.
What we learned
We were able to learn more about the web development process, as well as practice new technical languages in order to help us complete our website.
What's next for Music4Harmony
At the moment, the playlist portion of the project is not completed and hopefully in the future we can incorporate the Spotify API to allow us to get various playlists from all over the world. We also hope to incorporate another page where users can post about their stories and the way music has been able to help them or their communities to come together. Lastly, we hope to have another page that helps users find music festivals or concerts that support charities they support in order to bring harmony through music.
