Inspiration

The reason we chose this project is because one of our teammates wanted to create an application that can help him record and play his music as a music sheet where we show the music sheet being played on the application where the notes are being played.

What it does

What it does is it basically pulls the midi files from either your file path and it puts all other midi files in a selected folder where the user can select which midi file to use. Then we set the selected notes to certain sounds and then let it play. We also have metronome app to help you with rhythm.

How we built it

We built it using a mixture of ai and personal coding for some parts to create the project.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we ran into was the recording sound and how smooth the collected audio was. How to get the midi file to music sheet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made both the metronome app and the music sheet viewer into 2 separate applications where they perfectly work well. The recording we were able to fix the audio collected.

What we learned

We learned that in order to use other instruments we need to have a set up for the notes and sections where the user can select.

What's next for Music Tools

The next thing we will try to accomplish is try to combine both of the applications together where the user can access both of easily. The user can record using their own instruments and using that recording turn it into a midi file. Add other instruments to the music sheet viewer.
