Inspiration

COVID-19 has been a stressful experience for everyone. People have also experienced mental health problems. So, to ease the pressure a bit, we as a team came up with an idea where people can release their stress. It's basically a website with a chatbot and a music player.

What it does

Our chatbot is specially designed to have a soothing conversation with the user, and having a mental health counseling conversation for the user will help the user to have a stress-free conversation with the chat bot and according to the mood of the conversation, the chat bot will also suggest the user's music to listen to. Music is always a healer when you're stressed here in PaxPlayer, we've made sure our users have a smooth experience when listening to music and chatting with our chatbot . Above all, we has designed the site in a very user-friendly manner and the templates used are also sure to provide a calming look to the users.

How we built it

The basic structure of the website has been designed in HTML .The buttons and all the styling were done using CSS and google API for the fonts .The music has been downloaded (no copyright) from various sources. The music player and the chatbot have been developed using vanilla JS and have been embedded into the HTML. Here is the link link of github repository and Here is the link link of Youtube Video

Challenges we ran into

We are beginner level programmers so its a been tough to code the chatbot and the music player we used references while building them . Designing the web page with proper measures was also a quite crucial part. Since Mental Health is a Important and sensitive topic we also did some core research to implement them in the website. The major challenges that we ran into were we were unable to automate the bot and connect it with the music player we were unable to create categories for the music player

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to contribute something for mental health issue and the making of the website which has both chatbot and music player.

What we learned

We learnt to integrate vanilla JS with HTML and to style out page along with the basics of audio management in an online music player with a chatbot and programming the chatbot .
