DuckHacks 2017

This repository contains the code for our submission to the DuckHacks 2017 Hackathon hosted by JPMorgan and Google.

What is it?

Our submission is an emotion-driven music selection program. It uses Microsoft's emotion API to analyze the emotion of a user and play music to match their mood.

I implemented the machine learning aspect of the system. I had to implement a system that sent pictures to Microsoft's Emotion API for data, which would then be used to generate genre suggestions. I also worked with everyone to create a modular driver that linked each component together.

Christopher Hittner
I set up the webcam feature that takes pictures and stores them in the proper directory. I also helped make the program only use one chrome window with two tabs instead of two separate windows.

I designed the core GUI with animations.

I used Selenium to autonavigate Pandora and search for terms with Jon.

I implemented the camera feature for MacOS using OpenCV.

I modified some driver definitions to make things compatible.

TaylorHe He
I worked with Taylor He using pair programming to use selenium to access and use Pandora for automatic searching. We also used selenium to load an interface webpage.
