Inspiration

As a dancer and dance teacher, I spend hours trying to find the perfect song I want to choreograph to. Dancers are not the only ones with this problem, many students, entrepreneurs, and avid music lovers, search for the perfect song that matches their mood.

What it does

Muse leverages generative AI to connect your thoughts and emotions with the ideal music recommendations. Using user-provided keywords, Muse offers tailored song suggestions, making your music discovery experience more personal and enjoyable.

How we built it

Xcode and Swift were utilized for the IOS app development. Integrating Chat GPT API as our generative AI tool that reads in the user input to generate music recommendations. Over time, it learns your preferences over time personalizing the experience.

Challenges we ran into

-Getting the correct permissions to access the OpenAI API key for testing. -Learning curve on how to utilize XCode's IDE and Swift, as this was a new environment for both of us. -Figuring out the best way to connect a streaming service recommendation on a time crunch.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-Successfully integrating Chat GPT into our mobile app utilizing the OpenAI API.

What's next for Muse - What inspires you?

-Integrating different music streaming services that automatically play the song recommendation within the app. This would include creating API calls to these services such as Apple Music.

• Creating a Like page where users can give the AI feedback on what recommendations they preferred so both the user has access to these songs and the AI can personalize the recommendations for the future.
