Inspiration
I always have the hardest time remembering the names of songs, even when I may know the majority of its lyrics. I created the Amazon Alexa skill, Muse, in order to provide a quick and easy method of learning the names of songs and artists given some of the songs lyrics.
What it does
Using the simple Alexa voice command "Muse, what song goes like ..." it will respond with the track name and the artist of the track. It's as simple as that.
What I learned
Going into this weekend I had never touched node.js, or any javascript for that matter. This entire project was a learning experience for me. I now feel fairly comfortable around the javascript environment, yet I still have a lot to learn.
What's next for Muse
I am hoping to add additional corner cases for the Muse skill, and also Spotify integration. I would like to see myself using Muse as a medium to help grow my own music library at the ease of my voice.
