What it does

  • Sensor consists of a grid of graphite (pencil drawn) squares.
  • Touching a square increases its capacitance; this is detected by measuring (with an Arduino nano) the time taken to charge the capacitor.
  • Finger location is used to control tempo and pitch of tune being played by a micro bit
  • Micro bit LEDs visualise the tune being played, and can display the detected location of a finger on the touch pad.
