🌟 Inspiration
Grief is a universal experience — yet, when we lose someone, their voice, stories, and presence fade with time. We wanted to ask: What if you could speak to them again?
Murmora – Eternal Echoes of Love was born from this longing — a project inspired by personal loss and a desire to preserve human connection beyond death. In a world driven by noise, we built something for the whispers — for the moments we wish we could relive.
💬 What it does
Murmora is an AI-powered memory companion that allows users to:
- Upload audio, text, photos, and videos of their loved ones
- Interact with an AI that mimics their voice, tone, personality, and wisdom
- Engage in comforting conversations in a poetic, emotionally resonant chatroom
- Hear their loved one’s realistic voice respond using advanced voice synthesis
- Reconnect in a private, grief-safe sanctuary designed for healing and reflection
It’s not just a chatbot — it’s a digital echo of love that lives on.
🛠️ How we built it
We used:
- React.js + Tailwind CSS for an elegant, soft, emotionally-aware UI
- Bolt.new to design and deploy the full no-code logic and structure
- Simulated voice interaction features with placeholders for future integration
- Mobile-first responsive layout, scroll-safe interactions, and light/dark modes
Every detail was crafted to feel personal, human, and meaningful.
🧱 Challenges we ran into
- Making uploaded voice messages playable across chat and memory pages
- Fixing scroll bugs in chat UI while preserving aesthetic and performance
- Designing conversations that feel genuine and soulful, not robotic
- Creating emotional depth inside the limitations of a no-code platform
- Balancing privacy, intimacy, and usability without overwhelming the user
🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Creating a visually poetic and emotionally moving interface
- Making AI feel like presence, not just intelligence
- Achieving a working voice-based interaction on Bolt.new
- Watching real users tear up using the app — because it truly touched them
- Proving that empathy + technology can preserve legacies in meaningful ways
📚 What we learned
- Voice is memory, and preserving it is preserving love
- Grief is deeply personal — so design must be compassionate and soft
- AI can be a companion, not just a tool
- Emotionally intentional design matters more than flashy features
- Storytelling through interaction is a powerful form of healing
