Inspiration

The inspiration for MuncHub was to give people who eat alone at restaurants company and new people to meet.

What it does

MuncHub determines the users's location on their phones and allows them to post a meetup at a certain restaurant. Users make posts setting the venue, limit of the group size, and when to meet up. Other users who see the post can join and asked to confirm or deny the meet up. Users make their own profiles giving a little information about themselves, such as gender, age, and interests.

How I built it

To build MuncHub, we used a message board type of layout in which users can view their own posts for munching together. We used the same type of layout for viewing other posts.

Challenges I ran into

A challenge we ran into was incorporating a database for the app.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud of implementing effective UI and proper functionality of posting, searching, and profiling.

What I learned

We learned how to develop an app using Android Studio and how to make the design of the app.

What's next for MuncHub

Implementing APIs into MuncHub for accurate restaurant locations and proper profile settings.
