Inspiration
We were inspired by a love for iconic fictional characters and the thrill of seeing heroes and villains from different universes face off in epic battles. Our goal with Multiverse All-Star Battlefront was to combine creative AI with strategic gameplay, allowing players to interact with characters that feel alive and true to their stories.
What It Does
Multiverse All-Star Battlefront is an AI-driven, 1v1 battle game where players choose from eight unique, AI-generated characters or create their own by simply entering a description. Each character has custom stats—HP, attack, speed, defense, and special abilities—that align with their persona. With real-time narration by ChatGPT-4 mini, each match feels immersive and unpredictable, with the first player to reach 10 points winning the game.
How We Built It
The game is built based on ChatGPT-4 mini for character generation, battle simulation, and descriptive narration. We used Python for game logic, integrating attributes and AI responses to deliver a smooth, immersive experience. Customized prompts help generate balanced stats and vivid battle descriptions.
Challenges We Ran Into
We faced challenges in balancing each character’s attributes, optimizing real-time narration, and ensuring user-generated characters fit into gameplay without overpowering others. We had to train our model and engineer prompts to tailor the responses to the game's needs.
Accomplishments That We're Proud Of
We’re proud to have created an engaging game that combines AI-driven character attributes with storytelling. Developing prompts to produce balanced characters and immersive battle descriptions consistently was a rewarding accomplishment.
What We Learned
We learned about the potential of AI in gaming, especially in crafting dynamic, multimodal experiences. This project deepened our understanding of prompt engineering, character balancing, and real-time AI narration.
What's Next for Multiverse All-Star Battlefront
We aim to expand Multiverse All-Star Battlefront with more characters, diverse battle mechanics, enhanced customization options, and potentially a multiplayer mode to allow players to share the experience.
