Inspiration
We get our inspiration through escape room games and the culture of different countries in the world.
What it does
The game would put the players into a museum, and they need to solve the key puzzle through objects in the room while exploring them to exit the museum. We also establish the museum with National's symbols for educational purposes. We think it would be a great opportunity to provide people with multicultural knowledge while letting them solve puzzles at the same time.
How we built it
We drew pixel art for each object shown on the map. We utilized Unity and C# for distributing and plugging objects together. C# was used to give user interactions so that they can win the game.
Challenges we ran into
A member in the group (Huy) accidentally deleted the map for the room 3 times and had to rebuild it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We dared to try the things we have never known about. None of us has experience making games.
What we learned
This was the first time we build a game and use C# and Unity. We learn the language and the tool from scratch. We even made mistakes that deleted our map and did everything again, but eventually still got over it with the help of all members. We learned a lot about teamworking skills, about distributing and merging tasks of each member in the team.
What's next for Multiculti
We would add more rooms and more facts about other cultures (American, Europe, Africa, ... ). Knowledge would be given through objects in the room.
