The modern paradox of choice has turned simple decisions into mental marathons, leaving us exhausted before we even begin. We were inspired by the ancient human practice of seeking guidance from chance—from flipping coins to rolling dice, from spinning wheels of fortune to drawing cards. But we wondered: what if we could bring this timeless wisdom into the digital age, making it not just functional, but truly magical? What if deciding could be as delightful as the outcome itself?

What it does

How we built it

🛠️ We crafted this experience using pure web technologies, focusing on performance and accessibility without sacrificing the magical feel. The application intelligently parses user input, detecting patterns and automatically selecting the most appropriate decision format.

Challenges we ran into

The Physics of Digital Magic: Creating realistic animations that felt magical rather than mechanical required countless iterations. Balancing the timing of coin flips, the weight of dice rolls, and the momentum of spinning wheels to feel authentic was surprisingly complex.

Input Intelligence: Building a parser that could handle everything from "Yes, No" to "Career|Doctor,Artist,Engineer|Location|NYC,LA,London" while maintaining user-friendly simplicity proved more challenging than anticipated.

Performance vs. Beauty: Ensuring smooth animations across all devices while maintaining the visual richness we envisioned required careful optimization and creative compromises.

The Goldilocks Problem: Finding the perfect balance between helpful guidance and decision dependency—making the app engaging without becoming addictive.
