Mud Power, Inc specializes in modular power sources for long-term marine and estuarine deployments. Relying on the natural decomposition of organic materials in the sediment, our microbial fuel cells provide extended power output for oceanographic research, covert tactical and civil applications. We entered our technology in the inaugural 2011 Megawatt Ventures Competition and were selected for a first round of funding and coaching. The mentorship and initial $10k we received allowed us to win the $100K grand prize. We continued to develop our tech and business image until the tech was acquired in December of 2013 by STEMgen, LLC.
