Inspiration
What it does
This is a project made for the MSU track for Marihacks 8.0.
The goal of this project was to create a website which can help the Marianopolis Student Union's mission of helping in all aspects of student life, such as student clubs, inclusion and diversity, cultural celebration and environmental initiatives.
Our website has a few main components:
0.Home page: The beautiful home page introduces the college perfectly. There are boxes describing the different sections in the website. There is also a navigation bar with the different sections of the website. By clicking on a name, you are redirected to that section of the website.

Club Portal: This is a component designed to help Marianopolis students enjoy their student life to the fullest. One of the strengths of Marianopolis is the vast abundance of student clubs and organizations. This tool helps students search for interesting clubs which fit with their interests. There is a search bar where students can input keywords, which will return a list of clubs which match the description. If students are not sure what to look for, there is a questionnaire which will narrow options down for you.
For each club, there is a picture of the president(optional), a general description of what the club does, and contact information(telephone and email).
This component would serve the purpose of the Join-A-Club day. During that day, it might feel a bit overwhelming to look at all the different options offered. This website would allow students to browse clubs in their free time.

Event Calendar: This component is designed to help Marianopolis students see at a glance the various events happening at school. This way, they can plan their breaks better. Club executives will also be able to better plan their events so that big clubs' events do not conflict. This way, students can enjoy all the opportunities they desire.
There is a calendar on the page. On each day, there are events. It is possible to add events to a day, by clicking directly on its square. Each event has a time and description. By clicking on the day of the event, you can see a description of the event and the time. If there are more than 2 events on a day, there will be an indication of that.

Student Forum: This section of the website is a student forum which allows students to post their thoughts on different matters concerning the college. There is a curse filter which blocks the user from posting if there are bad words in the post.
4. Contact: This is a simple page indicating basic contact information for members of the Marianopolis Student Union.
