The problem we are dealing with is the cognitive impacts of Multiple Sclerosis. As an employee at Multiple Sclerosis Society Canada, our team member Kopal has interacted with many patients suffering from MS. The main area in the body which MS disrupts and damages, is the brain - both mentally and physically. People suffering from Multiple Sclerosis often have problems with processing information. Their visual and spatial abilities and short-term recall memory is greatly affected, which in turn affects their ability to retain information. Keeping these affects of MS in mind, we have incorporated 2 key features in our app, MSassist: One, being an object location tracker and the other being a reminder.
