Inspiration
More than half of the world population is deprived of basic healthcare. I wanted to do something that would at least provide basic healthcare to the 4.66 billion people who have access to the internet. Most people can't afford the high fees of doctors just for basic check-ups. This would be a free and effective alternative. Furthermore, support from medical specialists would further enhance the quality of results, especially in complicated cases. We have to learn from our mistakes. When the hospitals had no space during Corona, it showed us that we don't have a single alternative for healthcare.
What it does?
It provides free basic healthcare services to everyone from the comfort of their homes. They can get basic check-ups for a number of diseases through automated forms. Furthermore, they can contact to get support from medical specialists either free of cost or at a small price (quick response).
How did I build it?
I used Wix for web development and Canva for designing. Furthermore, I used Fyrebox to create the tests.
Challenges I ran into?
Wix provided me an opportunity to develop a website without any expertise in coding. I did spend more time adjusting the UI for mobile screens, but it was manageable. I had a hard time looking for a perfect platform where I can make quizzes and adjust them in an efficient manner. Finally, I also had to look into the details of each disease and adjust details for each symptom accordingly. In the end, managing time was a great challenge but it's these challenges that help you grow.
What I learned?
As it was my first week of hackathons, I learned a lot during these two days. I learned how to work efficiently in a limited time and simultaneously keep track of everything. I also explored different Wix themes and apps. I learned how to combine and alter them in order to meet your needs.
Future Scope
It has a large market around the world. If I can work on improving the UI and replacing the quizzes with code snippets, it'll greatly enhance the user experience. After adding medical specialists, we can form two groups where one will be volunteer medical specialists working for a free but limited time and the other will consist of paid doctors who would be available 24/7. Similarly, we can make agreements with pharma companies to provide discounted medicines on our website managed by third-party delivery companies.
