Inspiration

We were inspired by the rare fish market's growth in popularity on social media giants such as Instagram and TikTok.

What it does

We wanted to build an application that would entice "illegal" fish traders through a false sense of security, through blockchain technology.

How we built it

we used a React front-end with Vite and a Ruby on Rails backend. we implement AWS S3 for image cloud storage and WebSockets for real-time chat. We created a custom token authentication called super-tokens, and we integrated Metamask for all blockchain-related tasks.

Challenges we ran into

We had so many great ideas we had to cut out due to time constraints

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The amount of functionality we were able to create within 24hrs is insane

What we learned

We learned a lot about different NFT/blockchain-related tech and how we can incorporate it into full-stack applications
