Current clients control and monitor their air conditioning and water heating devices through an app with complex, low engagement graphs that provide little information about sustainability, how to reduce overall energy consumption and also does not incentivize sustainable action in any way. Main reason we see for this being that device control and energy monitoring are on different separate pages.
How we built it
MovingMad's app prototype is designed to address the issue of low engagement and lack of sustainability incentives in Daikin's current app interface. By providing personalized device configurations and showing the direct effects of these configurations on energy expenditure, we aim to promote energy savings and sustainability. Our app is unique in its emphasis on energy consumption awareness and its availability on both mobile and desktop platforms.
