Inspiration

Inspiration from trending OTT Platform like Netflix, Amazon Prime got inspired from the way these platform manage and present the content to the user and how easy is for the user to access the content.

What does it do

Like Netflix and all other competitive platforms, our Website MoviesCon consists of all the modern modules which are required in today's OTT platforms which enable the users to access all the trending content and search content according to their favorite Genres.

Users can see latest trending movies sorted by various categories such as rating and their release date. we can select different genres and search for movies as well as series. MovieBox comes with great Ui that makes user experience great. I am sure you will love our website!

How we built it

I built this app with Reactjs. I searched for the best APIs for movies and found MovieDB API best for data. I wanted this app to have the best User experience so I spent lot of time in improving the UI. I added animations using ParticleJS.

Challenges we ran into

I am a beginner in ReactJS so from props to using libraries such as ParticleJS for the first time, I got stuck. I slept a little less but made sure that I completely make a web application for the first time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

First of all, I am proud that I completed the project in the required time. The UI of MovieBox is so amazing that every user will like it (I spent a lot of time designing it)

What we learned

From a complete beginner in ReactJS, I fought my battles with javascript and came out on top. I got grasp on concepts such as hooks, props etc. and learnt new libraries such as ParticleJS for animation.
