Inspiration

Most of the times, we are not able to get the full description for movies, shows and web series while watching it. All the famous Binge watching application offers very low or no information due to which user can decide what to watch. Moreover all such application offer you to get paid version due to which around 52% get bad impression rating. Because of this, we got inspired and made this mobile application.

What it does

Movies Buddy Pro is the movie tracker and movie finder app where you can find movies, series, seasons, episodes. Movie trailers, movie recommendation and actors from the largest community database IMDB. You can also find web series and movie ratings to make a solid decision on what to watch next. Movies Buddy Pro gives you flexibility and control to customize your home screen with your own card categories.

How we built it

I used tools that make it easy to get right into what matters: creating an application that people want to use. I develop this whole app & API using Java, Android Studio, Php & SingleStore.

Challenges we ran into

Creating a project, deploying it, and adding functionality were full of fun and exciting challenges along the way. One more thing we also face some issues during customizing app & creating API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Committing to something new with the knowledge you are submitting it for judging takes courage, to begin with! I am proud I committed, created something I was inspired by, and followed through by submitting it!

What we learned

I learned how small things take more time. Taking an application from an idea to a functioning thing is a multi-step process that I knew nothing about before beginning my journey with this challenge.

What's next for Movies Buddy Pro

I would like to refactor and optimize with a focus on accessibility. Making the application more responsive & multi pages.
