Inspiration
I'm currently working on a term project that allows users to book tickets for movies and allows admins to edit available movies. I figured it would be good practice to attempt to code something similar for the hackathon.
What it does
This project allows users to add movie trailers from YouTube to a list that can be played in the web-application
How we built it
I started by making the basic components such as a button, form, list, and a movie object to store the form data. Then I made the CSS to try and make the program look a little better.
Challenges we ran into
I had issues figuring out how the CSS worked, the forms submit feature was causing the page to reload, losing all the data stored on the frontend program. I didn't have time to set up a backend to store the data so I just stored it all front end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I never worked with iframes before and it was interesting to use them for the first time.
What we learned
I learned about how to balance limited amount of time to complete a goal by having a plan and allocating time to key features of the program first.
What's next for Movie trailers, user portal
I plan to add more features and improve the overall design of the program.
