Movie Recommender

An example when running the program and receiving 10 recommendations.

Inspiration

We would always ask our friends for movie recommendations because we felt as though the Netflix or Disney Plus recommendations were biased and not accurate.

What it does

This program asks for a movie that you like and it will return 10 recommended movies that are similar.

How I built it

We only use python to keep the program as simple as possible.

Challenges I ran into

We ran into a problem with finding the correct movie when the user misspells the title .

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The movie recommendations are very accurate to what genre and plot people may enjoy.

What I learned

We learned about how keywords can be turned into a corresponding number to generate a matrix that will help find common keywords in the descriptions of movies.
