Movie Recommendations with AI

Inspiration

We were really inspired by movies and wanted to avoid the hefty netflix fees!

What it does

It is a simple ML model that takes input from the users and gives you some cool movies that you can watch based on the movies that you have already seen

How we built it

We built it using the almighty, ever-loved PYTHON!!! Also, if Python ever needs any brand ambassadors, we're always here. Just give us a call or drop an email!

Challenges we ran into

Oooof, where can we start? First, we wanted to scrape the web for data but, that didn't work. Then we spent the better part of Saturday in finding the best dataset for the model. Then we finally found it! Then it was another thing with training the model! That can be another story by itself

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are just really proud that we were able to build the model successfully and get some decent recommendations for it!

What we learned

We learnt not to mess with ML. EVER. AGAIN (or did we?). Anyways, we learnt that its hard to integrate our model into a HTML website. Maybe we will do it next time
