Movie Finding Game

Inspiration

We were inspired by Wikipedia Racing, and wanted to create something similar where you used the actors of each film to link them together.

How we built it

• The backend was built in C# using ASP.NET Core and the TMDB API.
• The app is an Android Jetpack Compose app.

Challenges we ran into

We were both had no experience in Android dev before, so making an Android app from scratch with little knowledge was quite difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We did get the backend API working and deployed onto the internet.

What we learned

• A bunch of Android stuff 😅
• How to create and consume APIs in ASP.NET Core

What's next for Movie Finding Game

We would like to expand it to include TV Shows and Directors in the future.
