Movie Bot within a Discord Server

Inspiration

My team members are movie enthusiasts. We wanted to find a way where we can still talk to each other within a server, but also find upcoming movies or just search our favorite movies.

What it does

It allows people who are chatting on Discord to search up their favorite movies (poster, released date, similar movies), see upcoming movies, and see movies that are being shown at movie theaters.

How My Team built it

We utilized the discord API and tmdb API to get information from each of the respective sources. We then had to program the bot to actually access information from each of the API and display the information into the server.

What's next for Movie Bot within a Discord Server

Hopefully we can include trailers of certain movies and maybe develop a bot that plays music for a server
