MOVEit Automation stores its configuration in a flat XML file and it's audit logs in a MySQL/SQL database. This introduces a challenge for reporting, especially against the configuration, since it isn't accessible via standard reporting tools. The new REST API exposes programmatic access to configuration elements like hosts, tasks, keys, etc., but using it requires programming skills many MOVEit admins do not have. However, most likely have knowledge of SQL.
