Inspiration
We both participated in mousetrap car competitions in high school and it is a popular Science Olympiad event.
What it does
Allows users to choose different parts for their car and receive a score. In the future, we'd like to make more complex components and allow students to race their cars against each other.
How we built it
Android studio, blood, sweat, and tears.
Challenges we ran into
We are mechanical and materials science engineers and did not know how to code coming into this competition. Thanks Jason (our mentor) for help!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As two engineers with 0 CS background, we actually built an app that could potentially be useful!
What we learned
Everything
What's next for Mouse-Mobile
More components, better graphics, collaborative racing, description of physics concepts.
