Inspiration

We often face issues having to run to the trash room or fill up our water bottles in pajamas or simply when you don't want to interact with anyone. We created Motor Impossible to avoid these issues as much as possible such as when there is a large group of people sitting in the common area right outside your dorm.

What it does

Motor Impossible can be controlled via a laptop and drive around as well as projects a camera preview of what the camera on the robot is capturing.

How we built it

We built it using the Raspberry Pi, Arducam, motor drivers, lots of wires and troubleshooting.

Challenges we ran into

We ran a lot of issues with learning how to use the Raspberry Pi and connecting the camera.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the final project and finally having a working product of our initial vision.

What we learned

We learned how to overcome many errors, how to use a raspberry pi, and using motor drivers and connecting motors.

What's next for Motor Impossible - ESE 1900 2024 Final Project

We hope to make it so that our next version can save photos from the camera preview. Additionally, we want to make the robot be able to turn left or right.
