Moto Designer

Inspiration

My journey began in 1991 when I was just 10 years old, crafting models from cardboard with sheer curiosity. My father, Shri P.R. Patel, taught me the intricacies of engineering, igniting my passion. Participating in Overdrive Magzone contests and working with Steelbird Befo fueled my dream. Later, studying at Coventry University under Mr. Glynn Kerr, my ideal, shaped my vision, though his bias against non-English speakers, including me, was disheartening. The 2009 setback during the 2G era, when I faced a harsh hearing due to his complaint, only strengthened my resolve. This personal struggle, combined with my work in Motorcycle Design Association and transition into IT, web design, graphic design, and film production, inspires Moto Designer to give unrecognized designers a voice.

What it does

Moto Designer is a unique platform that:

  • Gives designers a stage by attaching their names and stories to every motor vehicle or product design.
  • Transforms designs into digital assets using AI and NFT technology.
  • Provides financial support by sharing a significant portion of earnings with designers.
  • Brings talent from small towns and resource-limited areas to a global audience.

It’s a mission to ensure every design carries a human story and economic empowerment.

How we built it

I built Moto Designer single-handedly, drawing from my experience:

  • Technical Foundation: My engineering background (ABB, Kirloskar) and Motorcycle Design Association work laid the groundwork for AI integration.
  • AI and NFT Tools: I created a prototype using Bolt.new, incorporating AI design analysis and blockchain (e.g., Algorand) for NFT minting.
  • Design Collection: I personally reached out to designers and digitized their art using my skills.
  • Deployment: The project is under development, with plans to deploy it on Netlify.

My journey from registering motodesigner.com with Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver, 3D Max, and Illustrator to becoming a Motorcycle Design Facebook group admin reflects this self-driven effort.

Challenges we ran into

  • Discrimination: Mr. Glynn Kerr’s bias and the 2009 hearing tested my spirit, but I persevered.
  • Technical Hurdles: Building a website in the 2G era and learning AI was daunting.
  • Resource Constraints: Reaching small-town designers with limited funds was tough.
  • Industry Resistance: Gaining acceptance from established brands was a struggle.

These obstacles shaped my resilience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Website Milestone: The motodesigner.com launch, praised by the industry, was my first win.
  • Community Leadership: Becoming admin of the Motorcycle Design Facebook group is a proud moment.
  • Prototype Success: I built a working prototype on Bolt.new without help.
  • Hackathon Entry: Presenting my story in this hackathon stands out as a major achievement.

These reflect my dedication over the years.

What we learned

  • Resilience: Every setback taught me to keep going.
  • Self-Reliance: Mastering IT, web, and graphic design built my confidence.
  • Value of Recognition: Hearing designers’ stories highlighted the need for their identity.
  • Patience: My journey since 1991 shows that persistence pays off.

What's next for Moto Designer

  • Website Launch: Deploy on Netlify and open sign-ups for designers.
  • Global Expansion: Connect with designers from small towns worldwide.
  • AI Enhancement: Improve AI to create better NFTs.
  • Funding: Pursue $1 million through investors.
  • Social Impact: Launch workshops for designers to uplift their skills.

Moto x Designe is my lifelong caravan, now reignited by hackathons and AI—let’s keep it moving together!

Moto Designer Vision Update

Moto Designer is no longer just a concept — it’s becoming a movement. We started with one thought: Why do designers remain invisible behind vehicles, fashion, and objects we love?

Designers like Babita, like me, like many — have always created like ghost artists. Their designs move the world, but their names stay hidden.

Not anymore.

With NFT-based creator identity, AI design tools, and Web3 ownership models, we're building a space where every design has a name, and every creator has a platform.

Because “Moto” doesn’t just mean motorcycle —

Every Moto has a Gato. Every purpose needs motion. Every designer needs recognition.

We’re starting from Bharat — from Chhattisgarh to the world. You may ask: “Are you with me?” I’ll say: “I am with you, always.”

Let’s build it — together.
