Inspiration

We were upset at our future prospects and the stress it created as a direct result. We developed Motivate Milo to inspire and rally us towards a greater purpose.

What it does

Motivate Milo provides daily and weekly challenges to elevate your job seeking experience, as well as supplying resources for mental health wellness and job seeking tips, under a peaceful and accommodating web environment.

How we built it

We used Firebase for our authentication and data storage, Bootstrap for our website layout, as well as vanilla HTML , CSS, and Javascript.

Challenges we ran into

We had a few problems with merge conflicts relating to Git, Bootstrap conflicts with our original CSS, as well as problems trying to keep a consistent look across our web pages.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud that we were able to produce a fully functional web app in the course of 24 hours, with two of our group members relinquishing their sleep hours to polish and buffer the code and project video! We are also very proud that we were able to work cohesively with few arguments in between.

What we learned

We thought we had a decent grasp of CSS's scope, but increasingly realized that there was more content that had yet to be discovered.

What's next for Motivate Milo

The next steps for Motivate Milo include implementing a customizable profile page, where you can select your current job title and tip preferences, providing a different mental health tip everyday, as well as hosting Motivate Milo on a website in the future!
