Inspiration

In Nepal, especially in the villages, many of the pregnant ladies have lack of awareness regarding many of stuffs related to motherhoods, dos and don't. Due to lack of knowledge about nutrition, the infant born is either malnutrished or mother becomes very weak. Due to lack of access to healtcare system, they end up with wrong advice, that could even cost the life of baby.

What it does

👩‍🍼 Profile Setup Collects essential information about the user/mother to personalize the experience.

📅 Daily Guidance Provides daily tips and tasks to help mothers stay on track and feel supported.

🧠 Emotional Support Chat Mothers can talk with a sweet, empathetic AI designed to gently handle mood swings and anxiety.

🥗 Nutrition Tracker Helps monitor daily nutrition progress to ensure a healthy journey for both mother and baby.

📖 Story Mode Teaches new mothers important care tips through engaging, easy-to-understand stories.

How we built it

⚛️ Next.js The entire application is built around Next.js, enabling fast, scalable, and SEO-friendly web experiences.

🍃 MongoDB Atlas Used as the database to efficiently manage and extract collections—perfect for handling dynamic user data.

🧠 Groq + GPT-OSS AI plays a central role in this app. Leveraging Groq to access GPT-OSS, the AI handles nutrition estimation and provides empathetic conversations with mothers.

🚀 Vercel The Next.js app is deployed on Vercel for seamless CI/CD and lightning-fast global performance.

Challenges we ran into

1. Being a coder, I had not much idea about the pregnancy, so I had to research and talk to some mothers too. SO this was a bit time consuming.
2. Integrating AI was easy but deploying was hard, especially when ran into tons or error during deployment.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I feel I have created app that can be used by mother to save lifes and make the motherhood journey more memorable and healthy.

What we learned

I was a react person till i did this project. For this project i learned nextjs and no bluff its super easy once understood. I learned different things realted to pregnancy, maybe it would help me in futre to look after my wife.

What's next for Motherhood

I plan to add more feature , like , easy access for Dr. realted to patient record. When Dr. scans QR code it generates everything about the Diest over the months and any discomfort.

I have provided two links, in render it may not work sometime, because when i used it failed sometimes, but nutrition and dashboard would work perfectly.
