Inspiration

We chose something in our everyday life that not too many people think about: truckers, and decided to do something to make their lives easier, as well as provide them a platform where they can socialize with other truckers as they are most of the time lonely throughout their trips

What it does

It acts as a Linkedin, Instagram, and a Workplace manager app at the same time. It has a dashboard for truckers, where they have access to their current and future deliveries, as well as an overview of their truck information (load capacity, current weight, fuel level etc.). It has a dashboard for managers also, so they can track the truckers and assign them various tasks/deliveries through his dashboard. It has a chat section, where nearby truckers can interact with eachother, whenever they're bored. Finally, it also has a live map of their surroundings: a fuel-efficient, environmental friendly route, an accident report features so truckers can inform other truckers about a nearby incident/or routing issue, so the map can plan the most convenient rerouting for the drivers (taking into mind the environment around them, fuel efficiency/cost and the ability to drive a truck throughout those areas).

NOTE: we couldn't get most of it done, we're beginners but that was essentially the whole crazy idea we had for our web app :(

How we built it

We built it in VSCode, using a mix of HTML, CSS, TailwindCSS, react.js and JavaScript

Challenges we ran into

We're beginners, so everything was a challenge to us, we couldn't get more than 10% of our ambitions done, we tried our best but it was making us crashout

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned the basics of front-end programming languages, and got a taste of how hard web development really is

What we learned

Being ambitious is great, but there is a limit to everything that can be done

What's next for Mother Truckin' Management

Maybe develop all the crazy ideas we thought we could implement within 24h
