Inspiration

Mother’s Day is one of the only days some moms will receive any acknowledgement for all of the extra burden that comes with being a woman and a mother in this society.

The reality is moms do it all. They’re day care workers, housekeepers, cooks, janitors, therapists, a taxi service, and more. Even when both a man and a woman are working, the woman still does the majority of the housework. For women, being a mom is like working an unpaid second job. So, I decided to make something special which helps every mom.

What it does

Here are the feature of Mother Hive:

Podcast: You can listen to positive affirmations podcast which helps you to shape your day better.

Mood Tracker: You can able to record your everyday mood like happy, sad, depressed etc.. And you can see your overall mood for a month.

Meditation: You can listen to meditation music and do meditation according to your mood.

To-do List: You can assign your daily task and be productive.

Sleep: You can listen to sleep music which helps you to provide better sleep.

Community: You can join with other moms out there and share stuffs

How I built it

I built it using figma.

Challenges we ran into

As my teammates were not responsive, I decided to work alone by myself and the time zone difference is a huge task to complete my project. I felt challenging while choosing the color scheme for the UI and deciding the features was difficult one.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud of how I was able to create a comprehensive app with decent UI/UX in such a short amount of time. In addition, since this was my first time working on a Figma app project solo, it was really interesting to have full control over every aspect of the app, and I’m proud of what I’ve created!

What we learned

One big thing I learned is how to better work with Figma. I’m still pretty new to using it, as it’s only my second time with it, and every time I work with it I learn something new!
