As a complement to the system illustrated in the video, [[ http://youtu.be/fQmvHznzYuY ]] the Motes for Traffic Safety - 2014 cell phone interface could be programmed to communicate with the OpenXC hardware and software wirelessly via system network programming. Also, an update to the above system could include several V2V applications. For example, in urban areas, the above apps could interface with vehicle communication openXC dash board systems. For rural and suburban areas, the above openXC systems could provide V2V, vehicle ad hoc networks (VANET) systems with parking reservations info, emergency vehicle lane clearance warnings for police, ambulance and fire prevention as well as, ease of access and congestion prevention information.
