Inspiration
Although 95%of the Hungarian population has credit card, 80% of them pays with cash. By digging further, we have feeling of uncertainty towards it and afraid of possible risk that might occurred. However, this uncertainty comes from lack of experience.
What it does
Mosolykod is a Bar-code backed by their credit card for those 80% users to show them by practice that they can trust it by allowing them to pay, receive and transfer inside Hungary between them and each other and between them and retailers in secure, simple and fast way.
How we built it
Mosolykod is built by Android SDK, MKB API and Firebase.
Challenges we ran into
We are lacking backend developer who supposed to join the pooling of the experiences in the team. Initially we were going to go with MKB API for handling all that, however Firebase ended up being the perfect match for our app's feature set just for initial minimum viable product.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Simplest and fastest option that can be used for least mobile-user oriented person based on the transaction type and user preferences.
What's next for Mosolykod
1- Implementing the Android app on the the added feature user-friendly that can be used by most simplest mobile user oriented.
2- Adding video verification and partnering with IDnow for security identification/ provide Hungarian support.
3-General improvements :-
A- List of potential retailers to speed up user's interactions with the app. B- Customisation option that can be made from one Barcode - based on the daily usage C- Access option that can be made from one Barcode - based on other friends/family usage D- Tracking money payment and Managing money advices to achieve personal payment
