Inspiration
We wanted to design something that could be beneficial to both the people providing the mortgages and the people receiving them.
What it does
For corporations, the site can take in either a CSV spreadsheet or manually inputted data and generate statistics about approval counts, financial averages, and more. For individuals, they can input their financial information and get detailed descriptions of their readiness for buying a home. If they are predicted to not be approved, they will receive personalized suggestions.
How we built it
We leveraged React, TailwindCSS, Chart.js, and JavaScript to create our site.
Challenges we ran into
We had dependency issues towards the very end, spending most of the last hour trying to find out what went wrong.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're freshman, so us finishing a project was an accomplishment and a confidence-boost in and of itself.
What we learned
We learned how to use version control in a live environment as well as a few new web technologies.
What's next for MortGauge
Because it is developed for a highly specific company approval process, we probably won't continue iterating on MortGauge in the future.
Built With
