Ex-IB students know the pain of the frantic Tuesday night Discord call, panicking about the upcoming French IOs (impromptu, live French presentations in front of an examiner). Practice options were non-existent. You could talk to a wall, awkwardly ask a classmate to pretend to be an examiner (when their French is equally bad as yours), or pay a crazy amount for a private tutor just for 15 minutes of speaking practice.

The largest barrier to truly improving the French IO was replicating its spontaneity. In the actual IO, you present an image tied to the IB themes (Identities, Sharing the Planet, etc.), then answer unpredictable follow-up questions in real time. We wanted to build a tool that gave IB students real-time, low-stakes practice runs with examiners with stellar French capabilities and who never get tired of listening to your broken French.

Morrai is an AI-powered practice app tailored specifically for the IB French B IO. Here's how it works:

The app provides a mock question across the five core IB themes.
You record your 10-minute presentation on the spot. Morrai transcribes your presentation in real time.
Morrai analyzes your vocabulary and level of competence and asks follow-up questions accordingly, as a real examiner would.
At the end, you get a full breakdown of your performance scored against the actual IB criteria.
