Inspiration
The inspiration struck during a late-night inventory management session at a local retail store. Watching employees juggle spreadsheets, calculators, and multiple apps just to check stock levels made us realize: business management shouldn't require a computer science degree.
What if you could simply ask "Can I afford 50 more Nike shoes?" and get an instant, intelligent answer? What if managing your entire business was as natural as having a conversation? This vision of voice-first business intelligence became our north star.
What it does
Morphic Voice Agent transforms business management through natural conversation. Speak your needs, and watch as AI instantly understands your intent and adapts the interface accordingly:

How we built it
Architecture Decision: Voice-First AI Pipeline
We built a sophisticated Voice → AI → Dynamic UI pipeline:
Speech Input → Gemini 2.0 Flash → Intent Analysis → UI Mode Selection → Real-time Response
Technical Stack
- Frontend: Flutter with Provider state management for reactive UI updates
- AI Engine: Google Gemini 2.0 Flash API with optimized prompts
- Database: Supabase PostgreSQL for real-time cloud synchronization
- Voice: Flutter speech-to-text with live transcription feedback

Performance Optimization Breakthrough
Our biggest technical achievement was prompt optimization. We reduced our Gemini prompt from ~2000 tokens to just ~200 tokens, achieving 10x faster response times while maintaining accuracy:

We implemented a three-layer data model:

Challenges we ran into
Challenge 1: Real-Time Voice Recognition Accuracy
Problem: Initial voice recognition had ~70% accuracy with business terminology. Solution: Implemented real-time transcription display so users see exactly what was heard, plus comprehensive error handling with graceful fallbacks.
Challenge 2: AI Response Consistency
Problem: Gemini responses were inconsistent, sometimes returning malformed JSON. Solution: Engineered a robust prompt with strict JSON schema requirements and implemented comprehensive parsing with fallback states.
Challenge 3: Database Migration Complexity
Problem: Migrating from in-memory data to cloud database broke existing async patterns. Solution: Redesigned entire data layer with proper async/await patterns and implemented automatic sample data initialization.
Challenge 4: Mobile UI Responsiveness
Problem: Complex business data didn't display well on mobile screens. Solution: Created adaptive UI modes that automatically switch based on query type - single products get image cards, multiple products get optimized tables.
