Tldr; Couch to 5K for becoming a morning person
Inspiration
As a parent with young kids, My days started and ended with chaos. I didn't have time for myself. To make time for myself I experimented with gradual changes in my morning routine to make more time. The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma already explored this concept but I wanted to try it for real.
So I started experimenting with gradual changes in my alarm schedule. I researched circadian rhythms and found a method that worked for me. So subtle my body didn't resist. In 30 days, I was naturally waking at 5 AM, energised and ready to spend time focusing on myself.
What it does
Morning Club shifts your wake time earlier each day. In 30 days, you're a 5 AM person without the shock. That's 730 extra hours annually for your goals and dreams. Gradual change that actually sticks.
How we built it
I've built a few apps now and have been able to re-use some of my "design system" to recreate core components. I gave it a bit of a refresh due to the Liquid Glass Design updates Apple has made in iOS 26.
I started with the core functionality integrating first with AlarmKit. The app at this point didn't look great but over time I applied the design system.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I think it looks great personally, probably the best looking app I've built to date. I'm always trying to shoot for the Apple Design Award so focus on the little details.
What's next for Morning Club - Alarm Clock to Crush Your Mornings
I am going to be scaling my TikTok account to get the app in front of as many people as possible. https://www.tiktok.com/@morningclub.app Building an app is the easy part now I need to market it.
Once I've validated the MVP I'm going to continue building new features. I have a set of features I would like to implement to make the app "more social" with the potential of creating a viral hook.
