Inspiration
Every morning I lose the first hour deciding what to do first, and the invoice I keep meaning to send waits another day. Freelancers and creators get paid late because chasing money never feels urgent next to everything else.
What it does
You type one line, like "Plan my morning. I have 20 minutes before my first meeting." Claude reads your task list, today's calendar and the clients who owe you, and returns a timed plan that fits the time you have, with the reason for each step and what moves to later. If an overdue invoice fits in the window, the plan includes it, and one click sends that client a real PayPal invoice.
How we built it
A small Python server and a single-page interface. The plan comes from Claude through the Anthropic API with structured output (start time, minutes, task, reason, and which client to invoice). The invoice uses the PayPal Invoicing API v2 in the sandbox: OAuth client-credentials token, create the invoice, send it, then read it back so the screen shows what PayPal actually holds.
Challenges we ran into
Making the AI's plan and the payment one flow instead of two features side by side: the plan decides whether an invoice fits the time, and names the client, and only then does the PayPal call run. Failures are shown as failures, never faked as success.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works end to end on real APIs: a plain-English request becomes a realistic plan and a real sandbox invoice in under 20 seconds.
What we learned
The most useful AI feature here is judgement about time: what fits in 20 minutes, and what money is worth chasing first.
What's next
Recurring clients, payment reminders that follow up on their own, and a PayPal checkout link inside the plan.
