Inspiration

We went in-person to visit the book store, and were told that the store made up very little in revenue for More Than Words, as the majority of sales were don online. As we'd never heard about the store, realized that it would be likely to increase sales if were could spread awareness about MTW around the community.

What it does

We designed a marketing plan, including all materials to be used in the plan, in addition to an estimation of the cost and a plan for implementation.

How we built it

We wrote a proposal for our plan in Google Docs. Most of the designs were produced in Canva, in addition to some hand-drawn work.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled to come up with a hack that was able to address the pain points while still being creative, and we're confident in saying that our finished work seems to fit that result!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud of the designs that we were able to make this weekend, as well as the connections we established with representatives from More Than Words. Our board fellow, as well as stores employees, were an important inspiration for us!

What we learned

We learned that the best ideas are those that are workshopped with others. Collaboration is the most important part of the design process!

What's next for More Than Words: Book Corners

We'd like to implement reading corners at other universities, and possibly on public transit.
