Inspiration
I wanted this short to feel like an intimate live performance—soft, glowing, and wrapped in the calm ambience of a moonlit night. The goal was to match the song’s dreamy tone with visuals that feel serene and almost ethereal. A perfect performance to end the Chroma Hackathon with.
What it does
“Moonlit Waltz” blends ambient K-pop with classical elegance, creating a gentle, cinematic atmosphere where the music and visuals move together like a quiet night waltz.
3# How I built it
I used Suno to create the song, Grok Imagine to animate the visuals, and edited everything together in CapCut.
Challenges I ran into
Working with Grok Imagine required a lot of prompt refinement to maintain consistent lighting and performance-like motion. Balancing the classical ambience with the K-pop softness also took several iterations.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I’m proud of how the live-performance feeling came through—the soft lighting, the calm pace, and the subtle moonlit textures that tie everything together.
3# What I learned
I learned how to blend two contrasting aesthetics—classical and K-pop—into one cohesive mood, and how to refine prompts to better match musical atmosphere.
What’s next for Moonlit Waltz
I want to expand this into a small ambient series—each short capturing a different time of day and mood, all connected by music and performance-style visuals.
