Inspiration
We were listening to some music and were pretty tired, and we thought "Hey, the mood's pretty sad, and we always listen to the same songs on loop. Imagine if we had a way to suggest songs based on your mood".
What it does
It suggests a random song for you to listen, based on your current mood. The user has the option to either type in some text, or use the speak to the app to generate the text. From there, the mood will be determined, and a song will be suggested.
How we built it
We built it with the use of multiple APIs and packages provided by the Flutter community, within a single and easy to use mobile application.
Challenges we ran into
The judging of your 'mood' was determined by different parameters, for different APIs. As such, we had to figure out a seamless way to allow for parameters to be understood by these various APIs and functions.
What we learned
A lot about Flutter, Dart and APIs in general.
What's next for Moodsicle
Integrate together with Music players, to automatically play the suggested music.
