Inspiration
We both love listening to music and so we decided to work on a project that incorporates something we both care about.
What it does
The user prompts a mood that they are in, and it will give playlists from Spotify that are similar to the mood the user described.
How we built it
We used Javascript, Html, and Css to get the website up and used Spotify for Developers to pull data from Spotify.
Challenges we ran into
The hardest part we had was figuring out how to pull data from Spotify and integrate it into our code.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of this project as we don't have much experience with frontend, and are more comfortable in Java and Python, so this project was us trying new languages.
What we learned
We learned how to pull data from Spotify and how to play around with frontend languages.
What's next for Moodify
We hope to add a feature in which we can generate playlists when a user prompts a mood. We hope that the playlists contains songs that the user has been listening to and would like, so it is based on their listening taste.
