Mental health. A 2-word phrase so simple in context yet so heavy in meaning. A word defining my dream, my future. As someone who aspires to be a clinical psychologist/psychiatrist later on in life, a question I often ask myself is why? Why would you want a difficult, competitive, and time-consuming path? What makes becoming a mental health specialist so special? My answer to that is not clear-cut. As someone who has witnessed a family member go through a rough patch of diagnoses of mental disorders, and friends growing isolated due to stress, I greatly feel as though the image of mental health in today's world is distorted, exacerbated by misinformation and stigma raised regarding mental health complications. Another issue regarding mental health is the availability of treatment. I believe that MoodFoods can some day be one of the many different ways to fix this issue.

MoodFoods is an AI-Powered, user-interactive chatbot that outputs safe, cost-effective, and easy to find solutions to negative moods, feelings, or mental health concerns, incorporating ancient Ayurvedic remedies and foods.

I created MoodFoods solely using HTML, CSS, Python, and Javascript.

Some challenges that I ran into were going through books in my household that state Ayurvedic medical practices to incorporate in my chatbot.

Something that I am really proud of is coming up with this unique idea after months of brainstorming ideas similar to MoodFoods.

I truly hope to win this competition and use the funds to create more outreach for MoodFoods and maybe supply food/Ayurvedic medicine to those in need of mental health assistance.
